At Safety First Home Inspections we offer progressive inspections on new construction. In other words, we will inspect the home as it progresses from one stage to another. We start by doing a “Foundation Inspection”. A quality home starts with a good foundation. Then, before the dry wall goes up, we conduct a “Framing Inspection”. In this inspection we are looking to see that all load bearing and framing components were properly installed. Also, we’re examining the plumbing, electrical and HVAC rough-ins to insure that they meet current building standards. Then when the house is complete, we conduct a final inspection on the home. In the “Final Inspection” we evaluate the entire home not only for building code compliance, but also for function and safety of the installed systems and components.
